XM-X1 Crossbone Gundam X-1 is a testbed mobile suit in the Universal Century developed by the Earth Federation’s Strategic Naval Research Institute (SNRI). It was featured in the manga series Mobile Suit Crossbone Gundam.
Unlike many mobile suits developed by the SNRI, which were designed for use around the Earth orbit, the F-97 is specifically designed to be used around Jupiter, whose strong gravity field would generate serious propulsion problems. For units operating on Earth and around Earth orbit, the problem of high mobility was solved putting numerous thrusters all over the mobile suit’s body. However, under Jupiter’s gravitational influence, this would require enlargement of the thrusters, leading to an increase of the mobile suit’s size and mass. Moreover, in order to use the larger thrusters a larger and more powerful generator would be needed, adding to the general mass. (Read more on Wikia.com …)by Rolf Scheve with no comments yet
Wing Zero was designed by the five Gundam engineers fifteen years prior to the events of the Eve Wars. It is the ancestor of the five Operation Meteor Gundams (Wing, Deathscythe, Heavyarms, Sandrock, and Shenlong). Designed with “Perfect Victory” in mind, it boasts exceptional abilities and is one of the two suits which utilize the ZERO System (the other being the Gundam Epyon), but because of this dangerous mental interface, it was ultimately never constructed. The plans remained hidden away until Quatre Raberba Winner desperately built it to carry out his revenge following his father’s death. Unlike the gundams constructed based on its design, the Wing Gundam Zero was built to be capable of both ground and space combat from the beginning. Like the Wing Gundam, it can transform into a high-speed flight mode dubbed “Neo-Bird Mode.” Furthermore, its signature twin buster rifle has more than twice the output of the Wing Gundam’s buster rifle, giving it enough power to destroy an entire space colony or resource satellite in a single shot. It features hidden thrusters in the shoulder armor, where the armor splits open to reveal the nozzles. The feet also house powerful thrusters in order to give the Neo-Bird Mode extreme speed. The RX-78GP01 Gundam “Zephyranthes” (aka Zephyranthes, GP01, Unit 1) is a prototype multipurpose mobile suit from the OVA series Mobile Suit Gundam 0083: Stardust Memory. The unit is piloted by Kou Uraki.
One major innovation in the RX-78GP01′s arsenal was the addition of a beam rifle that used removable energy capacitor clips called e-pacs. Previous beam rifle designs had the energy capacitor integrated into the rifle directly, resulting in the rifle becoming dead weight once the capacitor was depleted. With e-pacs, beam rifles can be used indefinitely as long as the pilot has a ready supply of replacement e-pacs. The RX-78GP01 has three e-pacs (one mounted on the rifle, two held in reserve on the shield) in its normal deployment configuration. (Read more on Wikia.com …)by Rolf Scheve with no comments yet

The RGM-79SR GM Sniper III is a mobile suit that appears in the novel Advance of Zeta: The Flag of Titans.
The Earth Federation Forces decided to change a few options of their mobile suit RGM-79CR GM Kai High Mobility Type to be converted into a snipe type unit the RGM-79SR GM Sniper III. GM Sniper III equipped with a long-range beam rifle and a visor which contains high-performance optical targeting equipment. the GM Sniper III’s sensors, thrusters, and other systems were upgraded to match the specifications of the GM II. The GM Sniper III’s backpack contains an improved generator and a high-performance sensor. A radiator duct has been added to the right side of its chest, and another sub-sensor to the left side. The generators in its legs have also been improved, vernier thrusters installed in its calves, and it can carry energy pack holders on its arms and skirt armor. Only one GM Sniper III was assigned to the Titans Test Team. (Read more on Wikia.com …)by Rolf Scheve with no comments yet

The MSA-0011 (MSZ-011) S Gundam (aka Superior Gundam) was a prototype transformable mobile suit that appeared in the photo-novel Gundam Sentinel. The suit was originally called Supreme Gundam, but was also known under the codename “Ι Gundam” (Iota Gundam). The mobile suit is piloted by Ryu Roots.
In regards to offensive capabilities the S Gundam featured a highly accurate beam smart gun with a usual power output of 12MW. The beam smart gun however could connect to two extra power outlets on both left and right hips to supply extra power that increases the beam smart gun up to 56MW. However, this will have to sacrifice the mounting of the two beam guns that are similar to the ones used in the Zeta Plus mobile suit series. The usefulness of the 56MW beam smart gun was doubtful, since the 8.3MW hyper mega launcher of the MSZ-006 Zeta Gundam from that time could already rip a warship apart. Two beam cannons protruded from the S Gundam’s backpack over the shoulders, and it also featured four 60 mm vulcan guns in the head, and another four 60 mm vulcans in the tail stabilizer. It also mounted a red circular-shaped wire-guided remote beam weapon called an Incom that was stored in the forehead. And finally, to round out the S Gundam’s weaponry, the unit featured two beam sabers stored in recharge racks in the small white protrusions in the unit’s knees. The MS-06V Zaku Tank is an artillery ground combat mobile suit and is one of many variants of the standard MS-06 Zaku II. It was first featured in the original design series Mobile Suit Variations (MSV).
As the One Year War dragged on, the Zeon forces found themselves in desperate need of replacement mobile suits and other weaponry’s. Forced to salvage whatever they could, field workshops would often disassemble inoperable machines for use as replacement parts and cobble together new units from whatever was available in order to get more combat units to the field. One of the most common variations was the Zaku Tank, created from mounting a Zaku torso, head and arms onto the hull of a Magella Attack Tank. These units were prized by field commanders, starved for replacement mobile suits and used for both combat and support duties. After the end of the war, many captured Zaku Tanks were employed at Earth Federation Forces bases across Earth, particularly at the Jaburo military headquarters in South America. The MS-06R-2 Zaku II High Mobility Type is a mass-production space combat mobile suit, and is another high mobility version of the MS-06 Zaku II. It was first featured in the original design series Mobile Suit Variations (MSV).
The Zaku II High Mobility Type was originally intended as a space use replacement for the old Zaku II, part of many MS development programs. Due to the cancellation of the MS-11 Action Zaku in favor of development of the MS-14 Gelgoog, the Principality of Zeon needed modern spaceborne MS as a temporary replacement. Zeonic company’s bid was the MS-06R-2 Zaku II High Mobility Type. The R-2 Zaku was much lighter than its R-1A predecessor, featured increased storage for propellant, and had extra armor on the legs. However, the fact that the R-2 used the R-1A’s reactor meant that it could not use beam weapons. Only four units were produced before the MS-09R Rick Dom was chosen as the new space combat MS. The MS-06R-1A Zaku II High Mobility Type is a mass-production space combat mobile suit, and one of many variants of the standard MS-06 Zaku II.
After the successful release of the MS-06R-1 Zaku II High Mobility Test Type the Zeon engineers began to receive feedback from the pilots of the new units on ways the design of the mobile suit could be further improved upon. The new ideas were incorporated into the next release of the MS-06R-1A Zaku II High Mobility Type. The Zaku II High Mobility Type had some minor engine problems corrected, and the larger capacity propellant tanks were removed and replaced with exchangeable fuel cartridges, which were much quicker to reload and refuel. The ZGMF-X56S Impulse Gundam is a Mobile Suit, it is first featured in the anime series Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Destiny.
An additional four units of the Impulse were built during the course of the war. These four units were all equipped with θ Destiny Silhouette, with two suits being piloted by Mare Strode and Courtney Heironimus. Courtney Heironimus once explained that there are plans to fit ZGMF-X24S Chaos Gundam, ZGMF-X31S Abyss Gundam and ZGMF-X88S Gaia Gundam with Core Splendor system, meaning that they are developed to collect data for new Silhouette Pack that would allow Impulse to have better performance in specific environment. Upon hearing this, Jess Rabble immediately imagines how ZGMF-X56S/δ Chaos Impulse Gundam, ZGMF-X56S/ε Abyss Impulse Gundam and ZGMF-X56S/ζ Gaia Impulse Gundam might look like. This plan seems to be abandoned by ZAFT later, most likely due to the theft. (Read more on Wikia.com …)
